Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for a Principal Software Engineer and Sr Principal Software Engineer to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in support of our programs, in Huntsville, AL. These candidates will support the Recording Team on the Network and Field Services program. Basic Qualifications: Principal Software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD Sr Principal Software Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD Active Secret Security Clearance Experience developing Java applications Experience developing applications for Linux/RedHat environments Experience with video encoding and processing tools including GStreamer, FFmpeg, and hardware video encoders Software architecture and design experience Experience with SCM tools (ex: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) General Cisco Networking experience Familiarity with Agile processes, including scrum Security+ Certification Availability to travel (10-20%) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with JavaFX Experience developing web applications using Cockpit or React Experience with Gradle build tools DevSecOps experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, and Docker.
