This is a Finance position responsible for monitoring the quality of perishable products in the warehouse on an ongoing basis, inputting order information through data entry while performing other related duties as required. Regularly exercises discretion and in performing duties directly related to the general operation of product quality control. Responsibilities include providing technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects; checking produce in slots daily to ensure products set up for shipping meet acceptable standards; communicating regularly with necessary parties on the company’s status on product quality; communicating with Inventory Control Manager or Compliance Manager and buyers all quality issues and assisting in resolving them to ensure the customer receives the highest quality products possible; monitoring variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, truck damage, etc.; inspecting inbound freight, warehoused product, and/or outbound product and documenting product condition; analyzing, identifying, and proposing action to solve problems associated with Quality Assurance; and observing all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, prior warehouse, inventory control or merchandising experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective written/oral communication skills, and strong analytical skills. Decision making authority includes independently verifying put-away and transfer processes performed by warehouse personnel and making shrink issue decisions with review and approval of supervisors.
