The District Sales Manager (DSM) role requires exceptional management of sale performance among Sales Consultants (SCs). This position is responsible for driving a performance culture, coaching and developing the talent of their sales consultants to achieve profitable planned case and GP growth. Responsibilities include managing the performance and development of Sales Consultants within the district, conducting 3-5 SC work-withs weekly, leading Friday district meetings to educate and inspire, directing Customer Engagement efforts, leveraging sales support resources and CRM tools, delivering Sysco brand results, supporting national campaigns, providing coaching and training to sales associates, executing territory planning and management, prioritizing relationships with top customers and prospects, championing company initiatives, and other operational duties. Qualifications include a high school education required, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred, 2+ years growing profitable sales in foodservice, 5+ years foodservice sales experience preferred, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, mastery of consultative selling and marketing principles, ability to coach and motivate others, and proficiency with Sysco's CRM tool. The role involves travel up to 25%.
