The Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting the Company’s products and services by building relationships with new and existing customers in order to become our customers’ most valued and trusted business partner. This outside sales representative utilizes consultative selling techniques in order to maintain and grow sales of amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper, janitorial supplies, cleaning, FF&E and MRO products to hotels, management groups and/or additional markets within an assigned territory. The main focus of the Sales Consultant is to help the Company’s customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the Company. Sales Consultants receive a base salary with an opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses based on KPI achievement. Primary Responsibilities include maintaining and identifying new sales opportunities within prospective and existing accounts, making sales calls and presentations to develop and maintain solid customer relationships to increase sales and category penetration, utilizing consultative selling techniques, product knowledge, ROI, system tools (Phocas, GForce, Salesforce.com) and sales training resources to target new prospects and market growth opportunities. The role involves managing assigned accounts, taking corrective action as needed, consulting regularly with accounts about new products, services, company changes, pricing, and opportunities, notifying management if accounts are at risk, working with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payments, interacting with internal departments to provide vital customer service information, assisting in new account setup, and accurately forecasting sales results and trends. Minimum education is a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred. Minimum experience is 3-5 years sales experience with proven success, preferably in hospitality or supply/distribution sales, and experience in relationship sales and territory management. Skills required include excellent communication, organizational, project management, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, creativity, active listening, professionalism, goal orientation, familiarity with finance concepts, prompt customer response, problem-solving, decision-making, tact, and computer literacy including Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, using hands and fingers, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, frequent travel including use of personal vehicle, and maintaining a valid driver license and insurance. Remote work requires reliable internet and a distraction-free workspace. Evening and weekend work may be required depending on customer needs.
