Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required
Experience:
2000 hours direct bedside care in a post- cardiac surgery step-down or intermediate care unit as Registered Nurse within the last 3 years - Core Requirement
1000 hours of experience in a Registered Nurse role in an acute care facility with medical and cardiac patients within the last 24 months. - Requirement
Certifications/Licensures:
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Required
Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test - Must Pass at time of hire (Required if hired after 11/15/2018) Required
Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test – Internal Candidates Must Pass Prior to Applying for Position (must be proctored in Human Resources) – Required
NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Certification
Skills:
Core:
Demonstrates competency in caring for pre-and post- cardio-thoracic surgery and cardiovascular interventional procedural patients.
Able to provide competent care for patients requiring cardioversion, thoracentesis, temporary pacing, and moderate sedation.
Demonstrates competency in the management of IV medicated drips requiring minimal titration, including select vasoactive and antiarrhythmic agents.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of the application or use of cardiac pharmacology, vasoactive therapy, temporary and permanent pacemakers and emergency interventions within 12 months.
Maintains on-going competency requirements for stroke care.
Pay Range:
$77.04 - $104.97HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.Scheduled Weekly Hours:36
