Northrop Grumman Aeronautics System Sector is seeking a Manager of Industrial Engineering 3 to support our Industrial Engineering Operations Management (IEOM) organization. to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals. This position will be located in St. Augustine, FL or Melbourne, FL. The position requires on-site support and cannot be performed remotely due to the nature of the role. This role is leading an industrial engineering team that serves multiple IPTs within a program, including fabrication, tooling, and assembly. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: This manager will be standing up a unified IE team across 4-5 sites, compromised of managers and growing the total team of 18-25 team members over a few years. They serve as the primary focal of IE on the program. Ensure all Industrial Engineering artifacts, processes, and tools introduced align with NGAS PrOPS. Coach, mentor, and develop managers for them to lead team of industrial engineers by assigning meaningful tasks, providing frequent feedback, and rewarding positive performance. Build trust within the organization and align team towards a clear set of impactful goals. Provide technical and leadership support to the Industrial Engineering team. CAM (Cost Account Manager) for IE team on the program. Drive strategic initiatives and tactical actions that deliver results to improve program cost and schedule performance. Ensure program milestones and performance goals are achieved. Deliver on short-term, high visibility program requests, while creating a vision and executing a long-term strategy to influence change within and outside the organization. Administer to Industrial Engineering employees; including performance reviews, merit increases, promotions, skills inventory and personal resources. Working side by side with Operations and IPT leadership by developing tools to help them achieve all business targets. Sourcing key IEOM talent to ensure success of the Business Unit goals. Working in concert with other functional homerooms and shared service organizations to coordinate, direct, and support the continuous improvement of people, products, processes, systems and services. Oversight of projects and tasks assigned to the cross-functional ASBU organization and providing direction to ensure quality, schedule and cost are achieved. Creating long range planning & strategies for the operations team (e.g.: staffing forecasting, recovery plan schedules, line balancing assessments, EAC/Budget forecasting). This role requires the ability to travel 50% to support employees, suppliers, or customer meetings at different sites. This manager will be supporting our 9/80 shift structure: Monday through Thursday, and every other Friday phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment.
