The District Sales Manager (DSM) role requires exceptional management of sale performance among Sales Consultants (SCs). This position is responsible for driving a performance culture, coaching and developing the talent of their sales consultants to achieve profitable planned case and GP growth. Responsibilities include managing the performance and development of Sales Consultants within the district, conducting 3-5 SC work-withs weekly, leading Friday district meetings to educate and inspire, directing Customer Engagement efforts to provide expanded service channel options, leveraging Sales Support resources and CRM tools for sales planning and customer engagement, delivering Sysco brand results, supporting national campaigns, providing coaching and training to develop consultative selling skills, executing territory planning and management, prioritizing relationships with top customers and prospects, championing company initiatives, and other operational duties. Qualifications include a high school education required, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred, 2+ years growing profitable sales in foodservice, 5+ years foodservice sales experience preferred, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, mastery in consultative selling and CRM use, ability to coach and motivate others, and ability to manage multiple initiatives autonomously. Additional duties include researching customer needs, evaluating market trends, providing product information and training, managing accounts receivable, troubleshooting order issues, participating in company functions and training, and performing administrative duties.
