Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator - Level 4 (Senior Principal), to join our Payload & Ground Systems team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. #definingpossible Our Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract closeout activities, contract administration and customer contact activities to provide and ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements. You will be a member of the program management team, supporting program success and new growth opportunities across the portfolio. Your Role and Impact: Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues. Build customer intimacy despite geographical separation as well as be able to effectively cultivate those relationships. Monitor contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood. Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Work under limited supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs. Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information. Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Your Expertise – Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree. Experience that includes contracts, proposals or business management. Knowledges of FAR/DFAR requirements. Knowledge of multiple contract types including Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee or Cost-Plus Award Fee. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, as needed, per business need. No clearance required to start. Your Preferred Edge: Master of Business Administration (MBA). Contracts Administration or Contracts management experience for a defense contractor. Certification from the National Contracts Management Association (NCMA). You'll be a great fit if you: Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, and negotiating to all levels of management. Team player, independent, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving, oral and written communication, and organizational skills. Experience working with Government agencies.
