As a Senior Vice President in Commercial Banking, this role is responsible for the origination and growth of Retail clients in the Consumer Retail commercial banking portfolio. With a deep understanding of financial markets, lending practices and client relationship management, the Senior Vice President plays a pivotal role in driving revenue, developing relationships with prospects, enhancing client satisfaction, and ensuring the financial success of both Citi and its commercial clients. This position requires an individual with a proven track record in commercial or corporate banking, exceptional leadership skills and the ability to build and sustain meaningful relationships with business clients. The Senior Vice President will collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver customized financial solutions, manage risk effectively and contribute to the long-term success and reputation of Citi. Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial clients, providing tailored financial solutions to meet their business needs Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding the bank’s portfolio of loans, deposits, and other financial products for commercial clients Ensure that all commercial banking operations adhere to regulatory requirements, risk management policies, and internal controls Collaborate with other departments including Risk, Credit Liability Management and Product Partners Stay current on current industry trends within the Retail segment to identify opportunities Qualifications: 10+ years of Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Leveraged Finance, or Investment Banking experience with preference for those having experience in the Consumer & Retail segment Active FINRA Licensing or ability to obtain (SIE, S79, S63) Self-starter with a team player mindset- proven track record of sourcing and originating new client relationships while providing an excelling in risk management for the bank Ability to cross sell commercial banking products and services (FX, Trade Financing, Deposits, etc.) Demonstrated strong level of credit skills with capability to assist in deal structuring Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g., negotiation, consultative skills and leadership)
