Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Computer Systems Architect to act as the hardware discipline lead within the Compute Integrated Product Team (IPT) of the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Site 2 program (DS2). As the hardware discipline lead you will be a key member of the team responsible to design and implement the hardware baseline of several compute environments required for DS2. This role will be reporting to the DS2 Compute IPT lead and work collaboratively with other functional disciplines leads through major design milestones (i.e., SRR, PDR, CDR) and establish a hardware baseline that will meet operational requirements for the system. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundational knowledge of computer systems (i.e., hardware components, applications, operating systems) and be able to collaboratively apply systems engineering principles to successfully define and document the computer system architecture for DS2. Job Duties Include: Collaboratively define and document the hardware computer system architecture Determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security Coordinates the design of compute subsystems and integration of the total system Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies Develop and recommend corrective actions Interface and collaborate with system administrators, database managers, and software developers.
