Mission Enabling Products (MEP), an organization within Northrop Grumman’s Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division, is a leading designer, producer, and supplier of spacecraft components that power and enable satellites of all classes. Products include spacecraft panels, bus structures, precision optical structures, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, solar arrays, and antenna reflectors. Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years. The Deployables team is looking for a Quality Analyst to support our talented team of engineers, managers and technologists who conceive, design, develop and manufacture high precision products in an environment that requires significant collaboration and teamwork among multiple engineering disciplines. The position may be located in either Goleta or Oxnard, CA. This position is 100% on-site. This position may be filled as either a Quality Analyst (level 2) or a Principal Quality Analyst (level 3). Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Analyst will develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, composite, rigid and ultra-flex components and sub-systems. Be strategic in the identification of technical needs and solutions coupled with a strong program execution focus. Possess excellent communication skills and effectively interface with the Deployables Value Stream of products, suppliers, and customers.
